Bulb Troubleshoot: My Bulb Is Not Lighting

Having trouble with your bulb? Let's get it lighting again. See our steps below on what to do if your bulb is not lighting.

Check the Setting:

  • Make sure your room setting is dim, as TrueRife bulbs can be hard to see in bright rooms. Do not have the Jackhammer Amplifier plugged in, as it can affect the light output.

Toggle Switch:

  • Verify that the toggle switch on your F-122 Generator is set to "Bulb."

Run a Test Program:

  • Use the "+Bulb Test Program" in the TrueRife software to check the light output.

Change the Fuse:

  • If your bulb is not lighting, try changing the fuse. Make sure the generator is off before doing this. You’ll find two spare fuses on the back of the generator. Unscrew the fuse cap and replace the fuse. See our video tutorial here: Fuse Tutorial

Run the Test Again:

  • After replacing the fuse, run the "+Bulb Test Program" again.

Replace the Transistor:

  • If your bulb still is not lighting, you may need to replace the transistor. Transistor Tutorial.
  • After replacing the transistor for a new one, change the fuse again.

Ion Pro Wave Troubleshoot: My Footbath Is Not Working

Experiencing issues with your Ion Pro Wave? We’re here to help.

The light on the Ion Pro Wave is a cosmetic LED. Sometimes, the light can go out before the plates actually fail. If the light on your Ion Pro Wave module stops working but the water color is still changing, your unit is still doing its job. If you're within the 50-100 uses range, and the water color stops changing, it’s time for a new module.

Check the Plug:

  • Make sure the Ion Pro Wave is plugged in all the way.

Water and Salt Matters:

  • Salt: Use ¾ of a TABLESPOON of table or sea salt. Too much salt can damage your unit, and too little might not let the module work properly.
  • Water: Avoid purified or distilled water as they lack the minerals needed. Regular tap water is best. If your tap water has high iron content, use less salt to prevent blowing a fuse.

Toggle Switch:

  • Verify that the toggle switch on the F-122 Generator is set to FOOTBATH.

Program Check:

  • Ensure the program you’re running is from the Ion Pro Wave Folder. Our go-to test program is "Clark Parasite and Worms."

If all the steps above are correct and your Ion Pro Wave is not working, you may need to change a fuse. See our video tutorial here: Fuse Tutorial

Software Troubleshoot: I'm Getting an Error Message in the Software

Getting an error message? Here's a few simple steps to try out.

  • Make sure your generator is connected to your computer via the USB cable.
  • Plug in the generator and ensure it is turned on.
  • Close the software and then reopen it to see if the error persists.

If everything is turned on and plugged in correctly, you may need to do a hard power cycle. This can help with clearing temporary settings or glitches.

Here’s how you perform a hard power cycle:

  • Turn the F-122 off by pressing the red power button.
  • Unplug the F-122 from the computer.
  • Keep the F-122 turned off and unplugged for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Plug the F-122 back into the computer via USB cable, and turn it back on.

Software Version Check:

  • If you have a generator from June 2023 or newer, or if you’ve had a board replacement since then, ensure you are using version 6.4 of the software. Using the correct version is crucial for proper functionality.
  • To check software version, please select "Help" in the top left corner, and then select "About." The pop up box will tell you which version software you have.

If you're still getting an error message in the software, please contact TrueRife support.
